A Good Scare | Mocktail (The Reboot)
I couldn't resist creating a mocktail that captures the suspenseful, spooky vibe of Halloween (2018)—with just the right amount of fall flair. This drink starts with a homemade pumpkin-cinnamon simple syrup, which is honestly the real star. Combining pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and a hint of rosemary, the syrup brings in all those warm, cozy autumn flavors while keeping things a little dark and mysterious. I love the touch of complexity the rosemary brings to this without being too overpowering.
As on brand, I will never get over my pomegranate blood drips. I will forever sing my praises for pomegranate, not just because its blood-red hue is everything I need as a horror content creator, but because the taste works with just about everything. Little known fact (that might be more well known these days): grenadine is pomegranate flavored, not cherry. In fact, the word grenadine stems from the French word grenade, and pomme grenade is a pomegranate. The more you know, huh?
This Halloween mocktail is spooky yet sophisticated, perfect for a horror movie marathon or a Halloween gathering. Give it a try if you're craving something eerie yet seasonal that’ll totally set the mood for the night!
