Bach Proposals
The best part after the engagement is sharing the news with your loved ones and friends, and asking your best ghouls to stand next to you is probably one of the most magical moments of my life. Show them how much they mean to you by really making their gifts hauntingly epic.
I’ll update this once my girls get their gifts but here are some of the ideas and tips that I used while making my gifts!
I DO
I love beautiful packaging, try to find a box or bag that would be fun to open but will allow your party to either carry or pack easily.
Stay on brand, but know your audience. My theme is dark and moody, but not a lot of my girls are as obsessed with the dark and macabre as I am. Find something that fits into the theme but also they would enjoy. Remember this gift is for you to show appreciation to them <3
You know your party, try to have one item that is the same for pictures but also try to personalize things for them
Find inspiration anywhere! Pinterest and TikTok were my MVPs in finding ideas.
Your favorite but smaller! Have something that you are OBSESSED with? Share the love but get a smaller version of it, like a mini candle, sample perfume, split open a pack of candies, etc.
I DON’T
I get it, your date and wedding are so important to you, but most outside of you and your person will not share the same sentiment. Try to avoid dates and your name on things so that they can actually use it more than once. If you want to personalize something try to make it a part of the packaging but maybe not the item itself.
(Example: Hair ties, but on the packaging holding the ties have your date and name on there. This way they are not stuck with a Courtney + Scott forever tie, but a cute tie that reminds them of the event)
Think before you buy! Are you okay that this might not ever be used again outside of your wedding events? If yes, go for it. If not, maybe consider a cheaper version of the item or possibly avoid purchasing it.
Don’t force it! If you cannot find the right jewelry, cups, stickers, etc. That is fine! Treating them to a lovely dinner or event is just as special then saddling them with gifts that no one truly loves.
Here are some ideas to inspire!
